5. Vocational Profiling

An Employment Specialist service will create a Vocational profile with each client, rather than simply updating a CV. The vocational profile takes a deep dive into the clients preferences and considers location, travel, employer type, job role etc…

IPS employment specialists aim to find their clients jobs consistent with their preferences. During Vocational Profiling the employment specialist spends time understanding what the service user would enjoy doing and what employers and employment would be ideal for them.

Sharing Personal Information

A key element of the Employment Specialist role is to help the client understand the advantages and disadvantages of sharing personal information about their health diagnosis with an employer. This is often referred to as “disclosure”

Here you will find tools to help your discussions around sharing personal information.
