Benefits planning is one of the principles of IPS. Some IPS services provide this in-house, others have close links with their local Job Centre Plus or other agencies providing benefits advice such as Citizens Advice Bureau.
It is important for the service user to understand the impact working and any other monetary outgoings (such as debt relief orders, childcare etc…) will have on their financial situation.
