Our inaugural event of the Mentally Healthier System Leaders Network will be chaired by Kadra Abdinasir, Associate Director of Policy, Centre for Mental Health, and will be focused on how to improve mental health services for children and young people.
We will explore how ICBs can meet rising levels of need for mental health support among children and young people, a major challenge for every system in the wake of the pandemic and cost-of-living crisis.
Joining us at the event to share their own experiences and work in this area are
- Zaynab Sohawon, Award winning youth mental health lived experience practitioner and CEO at Emotion Dysregulation in Autism.
- Louise Lyons-Appiah, Co-founder of BreatheUnion and a passionate advocate for mental health, personal development, and equality.
- Nana Owusu, Clinical Lead and Director of Children & Young People’s Services, Hammersmith, Fulham, Ealing & Hounslow Mind
- Matthew Dodd, Head of Policy, Public Affairs and Communications, National Children’s Bureau
This event will be a chance to hear from leaders in this field and colleagues from across the country and discuss the practical steps we can take towards building a comprehensive system of support for children and young people’s mental health.
