2020 will always be remembered as the year our lives changed dramatically due to the coronavirus pandemic. We wanted to find out how this has been affecting people’s emotional and mental health.
The ‘A Year in Our Lives’ project has been gathering and sharing the first-hand experiences of people living through the pandemic.

What will happen to the pieces which have been submitted?
The accounts we’ve received from people across the country will help to shape our understanding of how coronavirus has impacted the nation’s mental health. Later in 2021, all stories will undergo anonymous thematic analysis by our researchers to explore differences in themes from different localities and communities. The analysis will also seek a narrative on how people have coped and what they have found helpful. This research will be published on our website.
