FAQ
We will continue to update our frequently asked questions.
When should employment specialists receive training?
We follow the IPS “place and then train” approach and recommend that employment specialists undertake IPS training once the service is operational and they have begun their roles. This timing allows them to put core learning into immediate practice and makes it more relevant and memorable. Our comprehensive training frequently references the integrated team members and stakeholders that employment specialists are introduced to during their onboarding/induction. In essence, the training will be more digestible and effective if undertaken once they are in post.
What is “Leading for Excellence” training?
This is a developmental course, aimed at supervisors or team leaders who have been in post a couple of months. The course assumes you already know about IPS, so we recommend attending our implementation training first. This 1.5 day course will lead you towards effectively managing and growing your IPS service.
