Andy Bell awarded President’s Medal for outstanding services for all with mental health conditions

29 June 2017

Andy Bell has worked at Centre for Mental Health for 15 years and has in that time contributed to some of the key moments in mental health transformation – far too many to describe here. Most of us who have worked in the sector for some time will know Andy and will know that he is a genius in policy and everything mental health; he is kind, values led, and a thoughtful, determined ambassador for change.

We must not forget that the work isn’t done and that there is still much to do in terms of realising the Five Year Forward View and the ongoing battle to improve mental health in prisons, develop legislation, and plan the workforce of the future. Andy is at the heart of all of these things. We at Centre for Mental Health are delighted and proud that he has been awarded this special recognition by the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

Congratulations and thank you Andy, with much love from your team. #TeamAndy
