Our evidence for the Government’s ten year mental health and wellbeing plan

12 July 2022

The UK Government has been consulting on plans for a new ten-year mental health and wellbeing plan for England. The Government’s discussion paper included a series of questions covering a wide range of areas, including how to promote and protect mental health for all, and what services for people with mental health needs should be like.

This is the first time since 2011 the Government has planned to produce a mental health plan for England.

Centre for Mental Health has provided evidence in response to the consultation based on its research and analysis. The Centre has also worked with partners to produce responses on behalf of the Fund the Hubs campaign and of the Young Changemakers programme. These responses can be downloaded below.

It is expected that the plan will be published in the autumn of 2022.
