Geena worked as a researcher and the main statistician at Centre for Mental Health for two years. During her time at the Centre, Geena conducted numerous mixed method evaluations, involving a range of primary qualitative methods (interviews, focus groups with key stakeholders and service users) and quantitative methods (psychometric measures, co-designed surveys, databases).
Prior to her role at the Centre, Geena studied for her Clinical Mental Health Sciences Masters at UCL. Whilst studying for her Masters, Geena was an Honorary Assistant Psychologist at Royal London Hospital’s RAID department. She also has a Psychology degree from City University London.
Geena is currently working as an Assistant Psychologist at Hounslow Cognitive Impairment and Dementia Service. Geena co-authored three publications during her time at the Centre, and her Masters dissertation (an ethnographic study of strategies to support discussions on end-of-life care for people with advanced dementia) has been published in BMC Palliative Care.
