Julie is the Centre’s of Associate Director of Training and IPS Consultancy. She has worked for the Centre for 6 years and in mental health for over 20 years, including as a senior manager in NHS mental health trusts running employment and recovery services.

Drawing on her background as an experienced trainer (gaining the 2022 International IPS Excellence in Training Award), coach and counsellor, Julie designs and delivers the Centre’s training courses and provides IPS consultancy.

Julie was one of the implementation managers for the Department of Health funded pilot “Making IPS Work” in 2015, which evaluated factors that would assist with the implementation and national scale up of IPS.

More recently Julie managed a £1.2 million project funded by City Bridge Trust working with local Minds in Newham and Bromley to implement IPS.

Julie is passionate about suicide prevention, fair employment practices, reducing stigma and promoting mental wellbeing at work.

At the weekend Julie can be found rambling in the countryside. She enjoys baking, drawing and Tai Chi.
